What is FordPass?
Who would have thought that one day cars will have apps that can connect you to your vehicle, whether inside or outside? Well, the FordPass App now allows for such.
FordPass Connect is a way within a Ford vehicle to connect to the internet and provide you with new utilities. It is an app that customers can download onto their smartphones and has many features, such as Wi-Fi hotspots, traffic updates and more.
What are the benefits of the FordPass App?
Vehicle Status and Remote Vehicle Monitoring, Remote Lock and Unlock Remote Start-and-Stop, Live Traffic Updates, Vehicle Locator, and Vehicle Health Alerts.
Sometimes we forget where we have parked our vehicles, especially in busy places. Well, with FordPass, you can locate the whereabouts of our car. You can also use the app to lock and unlock your Ford vehicle.
Is this app free to use?
Absolutely. It comes at no additional cost because it goes through your phone. Like with some other systems, you will need to subscribe to the service, and there are additional monthly costs. Not with FordPass.
The loyalty program allows the owners to earn points for servicing with dealerships such as Kempster Ford Durban. They are automatically enrolled in the program when they sign up for FordPass through the internet or the app.
How far away will FordPass App work?
FordPass can connect from up to 15 metres away. The FordPass Connect and embedded modem come standard on selected EcoSport, Everest and Ranger models. You can download the FordPass App from the App Store or Google Play Store.
