1: Move your vehicle to a flat spot, the vehicle in an angle will damage the axle, make sure there is no one in the vehicle.
2: Apply the triangle 45 Meters of your vehicle to make other motor vehicles aware.
3: Remove the jack from the boot of the vehicle and place it in the right spot of the vehicle
Start to crank the vehicle all the way until it touches the bottom of your vehicle, make sure you do not lift the vehicle off the ground at this point.
4: Take your wheel spanner to loosen the nuts on the tyre , it works out much more easier to loosen the nuts while the wheel is touching the ground, turn each nut clockwise, loosen one nut as time but do not take the nut off completely , leave them on the vehicle with a few turns to remove it completely off.
5: Use the jack to lift the side you need of the vehicle off the ground.
6: Remove the nuts completely off the wheel and replace it with the spare tyre on the vehicle.
7: Gently apply the nuts back onto the vehicle whilst it is still in the air, make sure the nuts are not tightened, just tight enough to hold the tyre in place and make sure it is stable.
8: Lower the jack making your vehicle sit on the ground.
9: Tighten your nuts on the tyre back to the way it was when you first removed it, ensure you do this in a clockwise direction as you done before, make sure you do each nut one at a time to ensure it is done correctly and tight.
Once all is done be sure to put everything away you have used and head onto your destination as planned.
Be safe when travelling and always be prepared for any sticky situation and make sure you teach everyone in the household how to change a tyre in case of a serious emergency.
A new vehicle is way more than just a ride as it represents your lifestyle, personality and personal taste. There are several ways to personalise your vehicle to make it stand out, and make it uniquely “you”, which will make it fit you like a glove, and really meet your individual needs.
Here’s what you should keep in mind when customising your vehicle: If reselling your vehicle, will a large group of buyers be interested in the “upgrade”? Remember that a potential buyer will only pay for what they need/want, so a good rule is not to overdo it. By keeping it relevant and simple you open up a larger pool of potential future buyers.
Spend wisely when adding expensive equipment to a vehicle as it will not necessarily increase its value. Many vehicle owners think they will be able to get back the costs of after-market products they have installed at the time of resale, only to be disappointed when a potential buyer isn't willing to pay for the accessories or extras.
You can never go wrong with factory fitted extras, as it will definitely add more value to your vehicle, and extras like rubberising and smash and grab will never count against you.
Accessories like nudge bars, roll bars, and mags can enhance the general look of the vehicle, and should make the dealer/buyer more inclined to pay more for the vehicle.
Personalising your vehicle to your own taste in the sense of special paint colour or personalized decals, lowered suspension, performance enhanced engines, and modified exhaust systems is a big no-no, as everybody hasn’t got the same personal taste.
Before adding extras or accessories:
Firstly consult with your dealer to check if any modification will void the warranty in any way (if your vehicle is still under warranty).
Make sure that your insurance conditions remain intact or if any addendum is required when adding it to your current insurance.
We at CMH Kempster Ford Pretoria North have a full range of genuine Ford parts as well as a wide range of Ford approved accessories and would love to help you customise your vehicle to add a bit more style and value.

CMH Ford Pretoria is having an eventful time with managing massive growth and unheard of activity in all our departments we need to ensure that we keep tabs on the quality of service and customer experience we provide.
Now here is where the saying of “the more I practice, the luckier I get” comes to mind. New vehicle customer satisfaction seems pegged at a 100% consistently. Our off-site displays are continuing and if you meet a person at either Quagga or Wonderpark wanting to show you our newest and best offerings then most probably that is our eager as a beaver Kempster Ford Pretoria sales person. We had one in each mall in the last month and we will see you there soon again.
Our service department is growing consistently and I would like to invite all people and businesses that own Ford vehicles to give a call. We will service your vehicle in a jiffy and look after you and your vehicle in the way that you can only dream of.
We wish to congratulate our top performers whom we honoured for the month of July. They are Ofense Mdluli, Akhone Tsili, Peter Mkhwanazi and Lindi Viljoen respectively for our four main business departments.
We at CMH Kempster Ford Pretoria had an awesome January with a lot of sales done by The New vehicle department and Second-hand vehicle department.
We sold a total of 95 vehicles in January with new vehicles selling 53 vehicles and the Used department selling 42 in total.
We also had two displays set up one at Quagga Mall in Pretoria west and one at Wonderpark Mall.
These two displays offered a great experience for our team and client with us offering some insight into the performance and technology of the Ford Mustang and RS. We also thought it would be a great match to show off the New 2.2 Everest paired with the Ford Ranger 2.2 Xl Auto double cab.
All four of these vehicles received a lot of attention and kept our sales executives on their feet.
We will be back at Quagga Mall in the 6th of February and the 13th we will be back in Wonderpark mall.
We are looking forward to be seeing all of our loyal and supporting customers again.
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
I’m a people’s person, I love building relationships and bonding with people. I always put my clients first and they truly are very important to me. To recognise my clients, to bond with them, seeing them come back for their next service and staying loyal to our dealership, it really gives me that heart-warming feeling.
What is your mission and vision for our workshop here at CMH Ford Pretoria North?
My goal is to become a prime dealer. I really want this workshop to become the best and I want the staff members to be passionate, proud and ambitious about their work, and for us to really strive towards excellence.
Have you ever felt like you should just give up, or has anyone pressured you to try something else other than working in a traditionally male-dominated industry?
No, nobody ever told me to do something else. Everyone sometimes hesitates in life, but luckily I have my team and top technicians to assist me, each one of us has a role and a gap to fill and together we are one solid team. I also have my family who keeps on supporting me and most of them are in the motor industry so there is no chance of giving up!
How does it feel to be among only a handful of women in the industry?
It’s definitely a “WOW!” feeling. I think it’s fantastic that the head office of CMH actually promotes it. I believe we live in a world where times are changing and anyone can follow their dreams, it doesn’t matter who you are. I also worked for a female workshop manager, Jeanette, and I believe she is one of the best!
Have there been any times when you have been questioned or ignored in your job just because you are a woman?
Yes, I’ve experienced it before, but I won’t get offended in that kind of situations. I want my clients to be comfortable, happy, and for them to trust us, that is what service is all about at the end of the day.
What words of advice can you give to women-up-and-comers in the industry?
The women in the motor industry need to be “tough cookies”. If you look around in the dealerships you will notice that it is becoming more and more common to see woman working in this industry nowadays simply, because we can! Don’t ever give up, believe in yourself and don’t let anyone ever make you feel that you are not good enough.
Clients were given the opportunity to test drive the Black and Yellow 5.0 L Level 3 Roush Performance Mustangs and were queuing and waiting in anticipation for their turn. While waiting they enjoyed boerewors rolls and cold drinks. Children were enjoying the jumping castle and Performance face stamps. The Stig was around and boy did the kids enjoy the excitement of having a Famous Race Car driver there ;-).
We had a few antique Ford’s on display from the 1917 and 1971 such as the Model T Ford, Model A Ford, Ford Hotrod and Ford Thunderbird.
The lucky draw took place at 12:30 and our winner was Mr Brink. He was overwhelmed with excitement when receiving his Ford Tog bag with loads of goodies inside.
What an amazing and great event and day we had, we would like to thank Roush Performance who made the day possible, our loyal customers as well as Cars in the Park with their amazing display of antique Ford’s.

A few weeks ago Laz Performance came to spoil us a bit with some of their pimped up and perfectly customised Ford vehicles. These models had what we will call the full package; it had the looks from the inside out, a lovely growl with powerful engines and high-performance qualities with superior handling all in one! There was a perfect model for everyone, from the off-road adventure seeker Ford Ranger to the adrenaline speed rushing Ford Mustang.
This was a fun filled day for the whole family to enjoy at CMH Kempster Ford Pretoria North, not only were there these amazing Ford vehicles, but there were also some free boerewors rolls with cold drinks to enjoy, Ford clothing & accessories for sale for all the Ford fans out there and a jumping castle for the little ones.
We were privileged enough to get to experience what it is like to drive in a Ford Mustang with one of their instructors, and boy what a thrilling, exciting experience it was! Starting with the premium and luxurious interior with seats so comfortable it will feel as if it was handmade just for you and even with a very powerful pull away, the seats really got your back with comforting support. The sound coming from this beauty is just such a pleasure for the ears, even before the speed rush begins your heart starts racing and from there the feeling just gets better and better and your smile wider and wider as he accelerates!
We also have some great news for those of you who are in the market of buying a new Mustang… You will receive a free advanced driving course with the purchase of your Mustang to ensure that you enjoy your magnificent vehicle in the best possible way!

Amber Schlebusch starts a typical day at 03h50. Certainly not your average teenager’s idea of an early morning,
but for SA’s newest age-group triathlon champion, it is part and parcel of the demands of her sport.
At just 15, Amber – a Grade 10 pupil at Durban Girls College – has grown used to her punishing schedule.
Before school she squeezes in a 30km bike ride and a 5km run along the Golden Mile. By the afternoon she might have added a 3km swim to her training, or a session in the gym, all the while finding the time – somehow – to remain on top of her schoolwork. Arduous, indeed, but the results of her hard work are there to see.
The past weekend saw her crowned the country’s U17 women’s triathlon champion when she dominated the field with a powerful run-leg at Aldam Estate in the Free State, to the extent that she finished 2nd overall in the U19 category.
It capped a sensational few months for Amber, who prior to the national champs won a number of prestigious events around the country, including the Midlands Ultra Sprint, KZN Triathlon Champs & Discovery Triathlon School Challenge. Her victories have seen her profile in the sport grow, and she attributes this to her coach Justin Hand of Team Justin / Durban Runner, who took her under his wing last year, giving her the guidance she needed to realize what was, until then, budding potential. The Team Justine also drives a Ford Tourneo Connect, and we sponsor R1000 every month.
The pair have their eyes on next year’s Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires and Amber stands an excellent chance of competing after selection to the talent identification programme run by Triathlon South Africa, currently taking place in Johannesburg.
Some of that potential saw her garner second place in the World Biathlete Championships in Sarasota, Florida last year, her first competition as a national champion outside of the country.
Amber holds numerous triathlon and biathlete provincial titles.
Swimming and running were identified early on by her parents as sports she could excel in. On the track, she broke records year after year at Glenwood Prep, accomplishments she has carried into high school. She has run and swum for KZN, and it was these beginnings that ultimately led her down the triathlon path.
She remains humble to those who have helped her along the way. With a large support network of family and friends, coaches, teammates and sponsors, Amber has been allowed to flourish at her own pace, and has no hesitation meeting up with friends away from her sport.
She loves her cellphone like any self-respecting child – which is what you would expect from an average teenager.
Secondly we have the Pre-owned department which stock various brands of vehicles. Here we believe that there’s a different vehicle out there perfect for our clients. The Pre-owned department also keeps a variety of vehicles from Mini buses, to vans, all the way down to light motor vehicles.
Thereafter we have the parts department where we keep all sorts of Ford parts and spares which is available over the counter, at your service.
Lastly we have the workshop which is assisted with the service department. This is where all the vehicles go for their regular services and check-ups. The service department makes a Booking, once your vehicle arrives, it is then worked on by our trained professionals to ensure your vehicle is 100% perfect.
We have recently had a change in management, introducing our new Dealer Principal Mr Brenton Cole, who is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that Kempster Ford strives to service excellence.
