Revamped, Renewed, Reintroduced

November 8, 2023 By Rokkit

CMH Ford - Upgrading. With the arrival of our new Dealer Principal, Mr Oscar Mashavha adjusting to the rapid and exciting transformations about to and that have already taken place were smooth and simple. His youthful, yet professional approach to conducting business has really given our dealership – CMH Kempster Ford Pretoria a brand new look and direction. CMH Ford - REVAMPED, RENEWED, REINTRODUCED - Service department His favourite saying, “there is always room for innovation and colour brilliance” was put into practice in the last few weeks. Road markings were revived and painted by him personally. The previous billboards were redesigned without forgetting and blotting out their origins - and put up giving our dealership a fresh look as well as giving customers a clear indication where to go for which department. Kempster Ford Pretoria - Parking He not only prioritizes the happiness of his employees but as he refers to them as his “colleagues”; Oscar Mashavha being the true Team Leader that he is, made sure that the staff vehicles have secure parking in case of hail, excessive sunlight, theft etc. If you have met our Dealer Principal in person, you will see that his persistent need for a clean and neat working environment is reciprocated through his dress sense as well – neat, clean and very professional. CMH Kempster Ford Pretoria - REVAMPED, RENEWED, REINTRODUCED Though it is a side walk, our Dealer Principal constantly urges that it too be cleaned as it is at our entrance; as is our fully stocked and neatly parked and advertised Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales showroom with over 70% Pre-Owned Ford vehicles. We at CMH Kempster Ford Pretoria take pride in our dealership and its constant change. Pop in to our dealership to view a range of new and used car vehicles suited to you. Pure Performance in the 2019 Ford Mustang

MUSTANG 1

2019 Ford Mustang: It is definitely loud and exudes pride!

The New 2019 Ford Mustang is definitely our pride and joy at CMH Ford Hatfield, and our customers agree. The 2019 Ford Mustang has evolved with a newer, sleeker design, more advanced technology and even greater performance. Irrespective of which angle you look at this luxurious beast, the new Mustang definitely makes an impression. Our partners Roush invited us to the festival of motoring where we got a chance to test drive the 2019 Mustang in comparison to the older model and we were definitely impressed. The New Mustang now has a wider mesh grille with a re-profiled bumper. With this new design, the air extractor bonnet vent ensures that the engine remains cool whilst you driving. The new Mustang is available in the Fastback or convertible 5.0L v8 or 2.3L Eco boost Turbo. Each of the models offer the same luxury and comfort, with the only difference being in the power output. The 5.0L V8 is 331Kw of power and 529Nm of torque. If you are keen on reducing the fuel consumption the turbocharged 2.3L Ecoboost engine is your dream ride with 213Kw of power and 441Nm of torque. You still experience the thrilling power and torque with fantastic economy. As much as we are excited for the New Mustang’s power, look and comfort ability. Safety is a big deal for us, and we were relieved to know the New Mustang has an advanced braking system which distributes brake force between the front and back wheels which helps prevents wheels from locking. One can also enjoy the different driving modes, from Normal, to Sport, Track, Snow and wet, you determine your driving mode according to your road conditions. There is so much to discover with this beast, your best bet is to visit us on Cnr Jan Shoba and Park Street in Hatfield Pretoria for your test drive. You will not regret it.

Family Road Trip Survival Guide for the Summer Holidays

November 8, 2023 By Rokkit

Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Harvey Firestone, and John Burroughs For about two weeks every summer between 1914 and 1924, a group of friends who called themselves the Four Vagabonds would climb into their Model Ts and hit the open road, travelling to some of the United States' most scenic areas, stopping off and setting up overnight camps along the way. CMH-Kempster-Ford-Randburg - Four Vagabonds But these weren't your average Americans. They were none other than Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Harvey Firestone, and John Burroughs. And the motorcade of up to 50 vehicles, which transported the celebrity Vagabonds, sometimes their wives, their household staff, and all the equipment they could possibly need for a comfortable holiday, was captured by Ford Motor Company photographers. These high profile 'glamping' adventures undertaken by pre-eminent members of society fired public imagination. And the phenomenon of road tripping as an affordable way for ordinary families to satisfy their wanderlust soon spread to other parts of the world, including South Africa. With almost 750,000km of roads criss-crossing the country - the tenth largest road network globally according to the South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL), and by far the largest on the continent - it's no wonder road tripping has become such a popular way for generations of South Africans to vacation. Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa believes that the four pioneers of the original American road trip would whole-heartedly approve of the following tips for modern motorists wanting to get the most out of their own family road trips today. Family-Road-Trip-Survival-Guide-for-the-Summer-Holidays-honingklip Burroughs As a naturalist and nature essayist, active in the US conservation movement, John Burroughs would advise you to use the unique opportunity of a road trip to discover and explore places of natural beauty, as a chance to learn more about the geological and cultural history of places you haven't been before. Whilst planning your route, look up the tourist attractions you'll be passing along the way and incorporate the most appealing ones into your itinerary. Many of the newly constructed hotels of yesteryear are still in business as historic B&B tourism destinations today, and breaking up long trips into smaller chunks - with one or two overnight stays en route to your destination, interspersed with some sightseeing - not only reduces driving fatigue and back seat boredom, but makes for a much more enjoyable and memorable holiday. The Automobile Association of South Africa (AA) recommends reserving overnight accommodation in advance, especially during peak travel periods like Easter. CMH-Kempster-Ford-Randburg- Family Road Trip - Summer-Holidays Firestone As the founder of the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, one of the first global makers of automobile tyres, Harvey Firestone would advise you to have your car's wheel balancing and alignment checked before heading off, to ensure a smooth and safe trip, and not to forget to check the condition of your spare tyre too. Punctures happen to the best of us, at the worst of times. Just remember, spare tyres aren't designed for long distances or high speeds, so once you have replaced a punctured tyre with the spare, you need to visit a tyre technician to fix or replace the original tyre as soon as possible. You should only do a final tyre pressure check once your car is fully loaded, and when the tyres are still cool. The optimal tyre pressures, which you'll find printed on a sticker inside your driver's door, will help improve vehicle safety and maintain fuel efficiency. Road-Trip-Survival-Guide - sync-3-navigation Edison A world renowned inventor whose name is synonymous with the electric light bulb, Thomas Edison was also the self-appointed navigator on the Vagabonds' adventures, with nothing but a compass and a handful of atlases to guide the motorcade! His advice to the modern day road tripper would be to familiarise yourself with all the marvellous tech features of your car, and take full advantage of navigation apps like Google Maps and Waze, accessed either on your smartphone or your car's built-in infotainment system, like Ford's cutting edge SYNC 3 *. For parents travelling with small kids, a visual display showing estimated travel and arrival time could even be the silver bullet you've been searching for to silence the age-old "Are we there yet?" chorus from the back seat. CMH-Kempster-Ford-Randburg- Botswana Summer Holidays Ford And last but certainly not least, captain of industry, business magnate, and founder of the Ford Motor Company himself, Henry Ford would advise you to make sure your car is in tip-top shape before hitting the open road. Be sure to take it in for a thorough inspection at your local dealership, where they will check all the necessary parts for damage and replace them if necessary, so your car can perform at maximum efficiency. Also visit the AA's website for a list of Toll Fees and Toll Plaza Locations, as well as a current Road Conditions Report, which gives you a heads up on any road works that may be taking place, which could result in detours or delays to your journey. At CMH Kempster Ford Randburg we care about your safety and that of your family. Take care on your travels this festive season and stay safe. Take your time and enjoy the adventure. From our Family at CMH Kempster Ford Randburg to Yours we wish you a safe and enjoyable holiday. Adopt a School Initiative: The Road so Far

November 8, 2023 By Rokkit

Adopt a School Initiative: It began with The Community Food Gardens at Emthonjeni as our chosen way of giving back to the community. CMH Kempster Ford Randburg sponsored the upgraded fencing around the Vegetable Gardens for a safe and secure future for this entrepreneurial endeavour for the community.

The objective of these gardens is to improve the nutritional status of vulnerable people, supply vegetables to 3 nutritional kitchens, provide food for self-consumption and generate income for these individuals. At Emthonjeni we have set aside land for sustainable vegetable gardens. Senior citizens from Zandspruit Informal Settlement are given the necessary training, seeds and tools to successfully plant their gardens. We consider this vegetable garden to be an extremely beneficial initiative as it addresses the very real and practical nutritional needs of the aged.

In August 2019 we started the Adopt a School: Clothing and Blanket Drive

Adopt a School Initiative: Donate Used Clothing, Blankets, Appliances, etc. and let’s help make a difference.

Items Needed: • Clothing • Shoes • Appliances (heaters, toasters, kettles, etc.) • Kitchen (cookware, crockery, glassware etc.) • DIY (cement, bricks, steel, etc.) • Home décor (mirrors, curtains, rugs, linen, etc.) • Toys • Sports equipment • Stationery • Toiletries • Furniture

In September 2019 we started the Adopt a School: Non Perishable Food Drive

Donate Non-Perishable Food Items and Cleaning Supplies to a good cause this Spring.

Items Needed:

• Canned Goods • Dry Goods • Long Life Goods • Cleaning Supplies

These two Drives or Acts of Kindness are not to make ourselves look good or to be the hero’s in anyone’s story. These have been started and put in place to get the community involved, to help the wonderful people who run this amazing centre where we can. These two drives will be continuous and on-going initiatives at CMH Kempster Ford Randburg for the remainder of this year and well on into next year. We are committed to helping as much as possible and we are always appreciative of the help and support, you our loyal customers give us.

Steyn’s Heritage Day Celebration

November 8, 2023 By Rokkit

CMH Kempster Ford Pretoria is proud to have a diverse family in all departments and employment levels. In respect of our National holiday, Steyn’s Heritage Day we celebrated our dealership as well as our nation’s diversity. We dressed up to pay tribute to our complemented differences in language, colour and purpose. Like our vehicle range we have young and old, different colours and unique in our own way. Like mechanical work, we fit in to make our fabulous family!

CMH Kempster Ford Pretoria also has a history - Once commonly known as Steyn’s Auto. Due to our unconventional family we do things to accommodate the diversity. Just last week we went on to collaborate with comedy artists to promote our brand and create awareness to bridge the gap in the demographical fallacy as well as the misconception of our South African manufactured, American vehicles being too pricey to afford.

As much as we have brand new and demo model Ford vehicles for sale, we like to allow our loyal customers the opportunity view or purchase a variety of vehicles from our pre-loved Pre-Owned section. At CMH Kempster Ford Pretoria we ensure that we have something for everyone, just like our multilingual family who are always there to assist customers in their preferred language just to make you feel welcome and at home.

Ford Raptor

November 8, 2023 By Rokkit

Drive the Power

If you are a 4x4 enthusiast no one will know the excitement you feel when hearing the words ‘Ford Raptor”. At CMH Ford Hatfield, we feel exactly the same way – The most anticipated arrival of this BEAST was a little over two months ago. The interesting thing about its arrival was that our customers kind of knew it was arriving but did not really know when. That doesn’t seem to make sense right? But basically because of the model’s scarcity and the limited amount that was produced, you really had to be a fan to know more about its arrival.

Fortunately because we at CMH Ford Hatfield are able to house these, even if it is for a short period of time, we definitely knew when they were arriving and we couldn’t wait to take a drive in one. The first exterior impression is it’s BIG, and has a presence like no other bakkie out there. Once we got into the vehicle we were even more excited to know that it pulls away smoothly, absorbs the bumps, accelerates amazingly but slows down with ease.

The Ford Raptor is definitely not a robot to robot kind of vehicle. It’s the kind that you want to take on a much longer drive. Not only to enjoy the comfortability but to feel the power too. One of the most appreciated things about the Ford Raptor is its suspension – definitely out of this world. Someone may ask, how is the fuel consumption? And we realised true Ford Raptor fans do not really care lol.

Ford Raptor - interior - driver seat

There is a lot we can say about the popular Ford Raptor but that means you won’t visit us anytime soon at CMH Ford Hatfield. So, make a turn to find out more about the vehicle and if you lucky to find one on our showroom floor, you are guaranteed a test drive.

Ford Driving Skills for Life – A Safe Driving Solution

November 8, 2023 By Rokkit

We at Kempster Durban South had a fun filled day with our clients and Ford SA where we were taught different techniques and Ford Driving Skills for Life. We set up breakfast, started the training and watched a video which we all found very interesting. We were split into groups and the trainers then taught us the different skills and techniques in the vehicles, we were all blown away by the awesome experience and finished the day off with lovely Hamburgers. Some history of  Driving Skills. Ford Established in 2003 by the Ford Motor Company Fund, the Governors Highway Safety Association, and a panel of safety experts created the Ford Driving Skills for Life program (Ford DSFL) which teaches drivers of all ages the necessary skills for safe driving beyond what they learn in standard driving school program. The program is international in scope touching not only South Africa but many areas around the world. The basic premise behind Ford Driving Skills for Life is to provide a step in the learning process, providing new skills and information not currently shared with newly licensed drivers in the basic driver education courses. Training is conducted in a hands-on curriculum and the entire program is available free of charge. Training conducted under the Ford Driving Skills for Life program addresses the inexperience factor as well as issues surrounding distracted driving and fuel efficient driving tips. Results over the past ten years of this effort have been outstanding. Ford DSFL helps drivers improve their skills in four key areas that are critical factors in more than 60% of vehicle crashes including the below activities;
  1. Brake distance recognition A.B.S and E.B.D
  2. Hi Jack Management
  3. 4 X 4 Driving
  4. Drunk driving simulation exercise
  5. Distracted and Impaired Driving

4X4 DAY

November 8, 2023 By Rokkit

OUT IN THE WILD

When we launched the New Ranger just over two months ago it was only fitting that we make a date to take this amazing vehicle out on the dirt road for a little fun. And man did we show off? Our fleet department was unable to share in on the fun at our dealer launch therefore making a day specifically for our fleet customers was absolutely key. De Wildt 4X4 Game Farm was the chosen and perfect location, joining us was our partners at Indwe Risk Services our official partners on the day. CMH Ford Hatfield together with Indwe Risk Services invited a total of 30 of their corporate customers out to enjoy this amazing experience. Relevant tracks were identified, and the guests were split into groups of four. We decided to give our corporate customers the best of both worlds by allowing them to drive both the New Ford Ranger 2litre Bi-Turbo Auto and the previous shape 3.2 Ford Ranger XLT Auto. The idea was to highlight some of the differences in the newer model as opposed to the older model. Our clients were blown away by the capability of this amazing bakkie, with the instructors of the day showing off features like the div-lock, traction control etc. If you have not taken time to test drive the New Ford Ranger 2Litre Bi – Turbo, do yourself a favour and book your test drive with us. We promise you that you will not be disappointed! Visit out website for more information:http://cmhford.co.za/hatfield/

All-New 2019 Ford Ranger in South Africa

November 8, 2023 By Rokkit

Production of New Ford Ranger Commences in South Africa

  • First new Ford Ranger production models emerge from Silverton Assembly Plant
  • Result of over R3-billion investment and extensive upgrades at Ford's local operations
  • New Ranger and first-ever Ranger Raptor destined for markets in Africa, Europe and Middle East

PRETORIA, South Africa, 11 February 2019 - Ford's Silverton Assembly Plant in Pretoria has officially commenced production of the new Ford Ranger, bringing a raft of product upgrades and refinements to one of South Africa's best-selling vehicles and export models.

Selected range-topping models, including the Ranger Raptor, will be powered by the all-new 2.0 Bi-Turbo diesel engine assembled at Ford's Struandale Engine Plant in Port Elizabeth. This unit produces 157kW and 500Nm of torque - up by 10kW and 30Nm compared with the current 3.2 TDCi - and delivers up to a nine percent improvement in fuel efficiency when combined with the advanced new 10-speed automatic transmission.

Certain derivatives will feature a 2.0 Single Turbo version of this engine, producing 132kW and 420Nm of torque, mated to the same 10-speed transmission. Various other models in the line-up will retain the proven 2.2 and 3.2-litre Duratorq TDCi engines and existing gearbox options - thus giving customers the widest choice yet in this category. As usual, the line-up includes Single Cab, Super Cab and Double Cab body styles to suit customer requirements.

Along with freshened design cues, range-topping Ranger models will raise the bar once again with industry-defining safety features on the Wildtrak such as Pre-Collision Assist and Active Park Assist. SYNC 3® with Navigation remains one of the Ranger's technology highlights as a fully featured infotainment system with intuitive voice control.

Following the launch of the 'standard' new Ford Ranger models, the attention will be shifted to the locally assembled Ranger Raptor that is set to create an entirely new segment in the pickup market when it makes its eagerly anticipated debut.

Some of the defining features of the Ranger Raptor include Position Sensitive Damping (PSD) shock absorbers exclusively manufactured by FOX, and an advanced Terrain Management System (TMS) that includes an exciting Baja mode for fast off-road driving. It also boasts a toughened reinforced chassis, powerful all-disc braking system and specially developed BF Goodrich tyres.

More details, including specifications, model range and pricing will be released at launch.

Christine was only 21 years old when she started off as an F&I and joined our branch, she was young and ambitious and knew exactly what she wanted. Nothing was going to stop her as she knew where she wanted to be.

Christine says she can literally do her job with her eyes closed, that’s how great she is at what she does, she says she could never see herself doing anything else. Over the years she learned that people come to the dealership trusting us and people need to walk out with their hopes reached.

Anyone who has worked with Christine will agree that It is definitely a pleasure working with her. Christine says her greatest fulfilment comes when a client’s wants and needs are met and the client is happy. Trust us when we say even our clients are happy after dealing with her.

Her experience in the industry is what keeps her soaring to greater heights, 10 years ago Christine was number one F&I in the group and in 2017 she was number eight. With that much experience it’s quite clear that Christine knows exactly what she is doing and does it well.

Christine says she is working with a great team everyone gets on very well, this is all because they aim to deliver superior service to their customers.
