The new Ford B-MAX, which is scheduled for launch in South Africa in the third quarter of this year, features a unique design, superb fuel economy and unrivalled small car technology, making it among the most advanced compact cars on the market. “The Ford B-MAX really challenges traditional small car thinking,” says Tracey Delate, General Marketing Manager at Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa (FMCSA). “Its ingenious design opens the doors – quite literally – to exciting new ideas about what's possible with a compact vehicle.” Based on Ford’s global B-car platform – shared with the highly successful new Fiesta – the B-MAX represents the company’s vision for a premium compact multi-activity vehicle (MAV), combining outstanding space and versatility within a smart and stylish exterior. The B-MAX’s Ford Easy Access Door System provides unobstructed entry and exit with hinged front doors and pillarless rear sliding doors, integrating the central body pillars into the doors rather than it being part of the bodyshell itself. When both front and rear doors are open there is outstanding access to the interior, with a huge, clear aperture of 1.5 metres wide, making it significantly easier to enter or exit the rear seats, attend to children in child seats, or load and unload shopping. The flexible seating system features 60/40 split rear seats that can be folded flat with a simple “one-hand, one-motion” mechanism. Ford engineers developed innovative solutions to ensure the B-MAX delivers the same outstanding levels of crash protection as vehicles with a more conventional structure. This exciting new model also achieves exceptional fuel economy and low CO₂ emissions. Although the full line-up will only be revealed at launch, the range will include the 3 times “International Engine of the Year” 1.0-litre Ford EcoBoost petrol engine. The innovative new B-MAX offers a wide range of Ford’s latest smart technologies, including SYNC®, Ford’s voice-activated in-car connectivity system. It is also equipped with Ford MyKey® functionality, an auto dimming rear view mirror and full length panoramic roof. B-MAX is true to the Ford fun-to-drive brand DNA with superlative driving dynamics featuring Torque Vectoring Control for superior traction and cornering. The car offers outstanding agility and manoeuvrability designed for the cut and thrust of city driving.

CMH Kempster Ford Durban-Pre Owned Vehicles embarked on a community programme at the Verulam Day Care Centre. The Verulam Day Care Centre is an old age home where there are about fifty residents. The staff of Pre-Owned Vehicles at Kempster Ford collected funds as our contribution towards the old age home. We spent quality time with patients, talking, listening to their wonderful stories and keeping them company. Our interaction with the patients was amazing and we were able to put a smile on their wonderful faces. This was a heart-warming and a joyous time for the patients and our stuff members. Our staff prepared lunch and put together a care package of lotion, shampoo, and tooth brushes for each patient. They were over the moon to receive the tokens from us. Our family and friends joined us in this great initiative. It was a fun filled afternoon spent with the patients. We will definitely will be going back to visit our new friends at the Verulam Frail Care and Day Care Centre. A real good deed does go a long way. CMH Ford Durban Community Outreach

Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa (FMCSA) has extended the Fiesta range with the fitment of the award-winning 1.0 EcoBoost engine across a wider range of models, and the addition of a further two 1.0 EcoBoost models equipped with the advanced PowerShift automatic transmission. “We have extended the superb 1.0 EcoBoost engine to more models to offer our customers improved performance, lower fuel consumption and reduced emissions,” says Tracey Delate, General Marketing Manager, Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa. “The advanced PowerShift automatic transmission is now available across all three specification grades, ensuring that we’re able to satisfy the growing demand for compact automatic models. “At the same time, we have revised the pricing of the Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost models to make it even more attractive. The Fiesta, therefore, offers even better value for money and makes Ford’s popular B-segment hatchback more appealing than ever.” The 1.0 EcoBoost won International Engine of the Year for the past three years in a row (2012 to 2014), and offers exceptional performance matched to frugal consumption. It is now also available in the new Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost PowerShift Ambiente, an entry-level model with the sophisticated six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission for seamless power delivery and rapid shifts. It combines the efficiency, optimised gear ratios and driving enjoyment of a manual gearbox with the smoothness and ease-of-use of a conventional automatic. Later this year the 1.0 EcoBoost Ambiente with manual transmission will be added to the line-up to complete the Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost range. The Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost Titanium is also now available with the PowerShift transmission, thus providing the option of manual or automatic derivatives across the entire range in Ambiente, Trend and Titanium versions. In the case of the five-speed manual derivatives, the 1.0 EcoBoost delivers 92kW of power and 170Nm of torque. Combined cycle fuel consumption is rated at 4.3 l/100 km* with a CO₂ emissions rating of 99 g/km*. On the PowerShift derivatives, the torque remains unchanged at 170Nm, with power rated at 74kW. Average fuel consumption is 4.9 l/100km* with CO₂ emissions of 114 g/km. All models are sold with a four-year/120 000km comprehensive warranty, four-year/60 000km service plan, three-year/unlimited km roadside assistance and five-year/unlimited km corrosion warranty. Service intervals are every 20 000km on the EcoBoost petrol engines, and 15 000km for the TDCi derivatives.

A Brief Introduction

The Everest is powered by the latest-generation 3.2-litre five-cylinder Duratorq TDCi turbo diesel engine kicking out 147kW and a delightful 470Nm making it perfect for daily driving and serious off-roading or towing at the same time.  This vehicle is a hidden gem and which makes this a mind blowing vehicle. It has a all contoured sheet metal for a cleaner, meaner look for this superb ride. By being more spacious allows load purposes to be easier than before. This has been an exciting week at CMH Ford Randburg. Lebo, one of our amazing sales executives, has delivered CMH Ford Randburg's first Ford Mustang. The new owner of the Mustang seen below had ordered the vehicle in December and was put on a very long waiting list. You can imagine why, the new Ford Mustang still is rooted in its iconic look but is designed to look better. This new vehicle remains instantly classic.
